“And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of god.” Romans 12:2

“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5

Admit to ourselves, and to another(s), the exact nature of our wrongs.
“Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

Chapter Six: Repentance is the way to forgiveness.
We are ready to have God remove all defects of character. Repenting of our sins we turn completely away from them, not choosing to do them anymore, we turn to God for his love and his help.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5

Chapter Seven: God is Able To Cleanse Us.

Ask God to remove our shortcomings and ask him to shape and mold us back into his image and likeness.
“Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:2
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10

Make an effort to repair all relationships that we have wronged.
“As ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31
“Therefore, if those bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember that thy brother had aught against thee; leave thy gift before the altar, and go thy way,; first be reconciled to thy brother and then come and offer thy gift.” Mathew 5:23, 24

Chapter Nine: Pressing Forward
Do not continue to look back at our past mistakes, Look forward to a bright future!

“Wherefore let him stands take heed lest he falls.” 1Corinthians 10:12

“For is, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Romans 5:10
“And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain enmity (separation) thereby; and came and preached peace to you who were afar off,
and to them which were near.” Ephesians 2:16, 17
